Kelsey Asbill is the weak link as Monica and plays her part poorly, the plot is awkwardly abandoned and the acting is nowhere near up to par. I think Cole Hauser as Rip is probably the best actor (besides Costner himself) and I looked forward to every scene Rip was in. Thomas Rainwater is also great The plot is moving and the setting is great. Just as Cormac McCarthy’s All The Pretty Horses was a bit more raw and brutal than the title suggests, this episode is in the same vein. I highly recommend it and wish I hadn’t waited so long to watch it.
