Dexter Morgan: I lived in the dark for a long time
His son, David Zayas Jr., replaces his father in some scenes because they look so much alike. Dexter has a large scar on his left side that is visible throughout the first season. Later in season 2, the scar moved to his right side, leaving the left side without a trace.

The complex and damaged characters, the twisted plot, and Dexter’s adoptive father taking care of him, training him to be the perfect avenger, it’s all so intoxicating! Not only is this series well acted, and each main character has my full attention, but it’s also written with such deep intensity that I find it completely irresistible! I can’t wait to see more of Dex as a traumatized child, more of Harry’s lessons, more of his developing relationship with Rita, more of the Freezer Killer, more forensics…
